My Mommy Manifesto for 2014

IMG_1391

I commit to being a better mom in 2014.

It is my greatest (and most important intention) to be of service to these growing beings, my daughters, Finley (8)and Channing (almost 7).I promise to get to know and honor their inner wisdom more each day.
To love them deeply, yet let go freely (of my attachments to what I want for them and for them to be)...
To guide humbly and follow willingly.

It is my intention to be of service to my daughters: to empower them through simple lessons of mindfulness, gratitude and self care.
I commit to appreciating the simple things more and also to forgiving myself for the messes I make.
I commit to more adventures with my daughters and less distractions, like iThings.

My intention is to make this world a better place in any small way I can    contribute and I am aware that my most significant realm of influence lives under my own roof.
I begin with them, at home, knowing we each can change the world, one child at a time.
I will not forget that we start with our own inner child...so one more commitment:
I promise not to parent out of reaction to my own childhood - what I wanted and did or didn't get, instead seeing my daughters apart from my needs and wholly for their own journeys.
In 2014, I commit to being a better mom.
Love,
Jill
